BANU is among Turkey's fully accredited elite universities.

Our university's successful completion of the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) conducted by the Council for Quality in Higher Education (YÖKAK) serves as international certification of our institutional culture focused on excellence and quality in education. This process, shaped by preliminary visits and on-site inspections, concretely demonstrates the level of competence achieved by our university's sustainable development strategy and quality assurance system.

As part of the process, a preliminary visit was conducted online on December 4, 2025, while the evaluation team conducted a face-to-face on-site visit to our university between December 25-28, 2025. During these visits, the university's practices regarding education, research and development, community contribution, and governance processes were examined on-site.

These visits revealed the strong and sustainable structure of our university's quality assurance system and demonstrated that the concept of institutional development has been effectively adopted in all units. It was once again shown that these processes achieve their true meaning not only through the fulfillment of requirements, but also through a well-structured vision, disciplined implementation, and strong coordination.

Despite being one of Turkey's youngest state universities, having only recently turned ten, our university's unanimous accreditation by YÖKAK (Council of Higher Education) for a period of five years demonstrates the high level of quality our university has achieved on its journey. Our university has achieved a significant success, being one of only 34 universities out of 208 evaluated nationwide to receive full accreditation.

The accreditation records of universities that receive institutional accreditation are entered into the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) database; this allows universities to gain significant advantages in terms of equivalence, recognition, and visibility in Europe and the world. Furthermore, information on higher education institutions granted institutional accreditation by YÖKAK is shared with the public in the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) and the Guide to Higher Education Programs and Quotas published by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

As BANU, we managed this process with a strong sense of family, meticulousness, and determination.
